Quotes after Qualifying at Paul Ricard

Dušan Borković (pole Race 1): “I first sat in the car yesterday and I had an interesting feeling, because I know the Hyundai is good and is different to cars I have driven before. It seems the car is perfect for my driving style, because I had to completely change my style last year for the Alfa. The car was completely new and the mechanics said to do two laps slowly and then come in. After free practice, I thought about what I had to do to make a good lap so I drove carefully in Q1 and then in Q2 I relaxed and I could see the car was working well. I overdrove a little on my second lap, so I couldn’t improve, but I’m happy.”

Dániel Nagy (3rd for Race 1): “I’m very happy. The team did a very, very good job. It’s the first time for me to race here, but we started very strongly yesterday with P3 in the first Free Practice. To be honest, it wasn’t my best lap time in Q2 because I just had two shots at doing a lap and it’s not that long. I made a mistake on my first lap and I thought my second was okay but not the best. I could probably have done better in sector 3 and maybe have been P2 but It doesn’t matter. I’m happy with third position and I’m looking forward to the race.”

Jens Reno Møller (pole for Race 2): “We were a little bit lucky to get pole for Race 2 because we were P11 and someone ahead (Stefanovski) got a lap deleted because of track limits. We are not satisfied at all, because we wanted to be in the top five but we are struggling to understand the new Yokohama tyres. To start from pole is always fantastic, everything can happen. I did it last year at the Hungaroring where I started from pole and stayed on the podium. In the race today, we start from P10 and let’s see if we can find some good speed. Tomorrow the aim is to be on the podium.”
