Aggressive Team Italia confirms Losonczy for 2023

After the positive experience gained during the second half of 2022, Aggressive Team Italia has confirmed that Levente Losonczy will contest the entire 2023 season in both the TCR Europe and TCR Italy championships.

Aggressive Team Italia will again run a Hyundai Elantra TCR N, the car with which the 19-year-old Hungarian made his debut in the 2022 season in both the European and Italian series, as well as having taken part in the TCR Eastern Europe round held at the Slovakia Ring, taking a double sixth place. The potential shown by Losonczy immediately convinced the Italian team, to the point of setting up a programme that will include his participation in both championships.

Once pre-season tests have been concluded, Losonczy's 2023 season will begin over the weekend of April 21st-23rd in Imola for the first round of TCR Italy, followed by the opening event of TCR Europe at Portimão the following weekend. A total of thirteen weekends and twenty-six races lay ahead, during which the team and driver will aim to improve on the promising results obtained during the 2022 season.

Mauro Guastamacchia, Team Principal: "We are very happy to have the opportunity to continue for next year with a driver who has now become an acquired member of our family! A very special relationship was immediately established with Levente and his family, so it was a natural step to face the double challenge in TCR Europe and TCR Italy together again in 2023. The trust placed in our team is a reason of great satisfaction: we will not disappoint expectations, just as we are certain that Levente will respect ours at full, having already demonstrated his potential last year despite it being his debut season in this type of car.

Levente Losonczy: "I’m extremely proud and happy to continue my journey with Aggressive Team in the upcoming season. Having a full season with 2 championships is really exciting and I would like to thank the team and my sponsors for this opportunity. Their trust means a lot to me, there is no doubt I will give it everything on and off track to prove they have made a good decision. My goal for the season is to be competitive and fight at the front from the start and continue the progress with the momentum we had in the last races.
