Barr and Richard top timesheet in Practice 2

Target Competition teammates Reece Barr and Kris Richard topped the timesheet in the second Practice at Assen’s TT Circuit; behind their Hyundai cars there was the pair of Josh Files and Attila Tassi in the Hell Energy Racing Honda Civic machines.
It was a close session, with the first ten drivers covered by just eight tenths of a second.
In the early stages, Tassi and Files posted provisional fastest laps of 1:45.733 and 1:45.681 respectively, with the Briton capable to improve to 1:45.629 soon afterwards.
Halfway through the session, Richard clocked a 1:45.429 that placed him on top of the list, but he was immediately ousted by Barr’s 1:45.408. After being second fastest behind Stefano Comini’s Honda in the first Practice, the young Irishman improved his lap time from the previous session by four thousandths and was able to beat his Swiss teammate by only 21 thousandths.
"It was a very good session, and a good lap time, on new tyres. The car feels good, it's already very well balanced, although there is still room for improvements. The circuit is really cool, I like it a lot," said Barr.
Target Competition’s third man, Dušan Borković ranked fifth (1:45.865) and was followed by Julien Briché’s Peugeot 308 (1:45.991) and Maxime Potty’s Volkswagen Golf GTI (1:46.016). Dániel Nagy (1:46.114), Peter Terting (1:46.149) and Mikel Azcona (1:46.241) completed the top ten.
Jean-Karl Vernay did not take part in the session after damaging the front suspension of his Audi during the previous session.
Action will resume tomorrow morning at 9:00 for Qualifying.
