Nathanaël Berthon is the latest of a group of guest stars that have elected to join the TCR Europe Series season closing event at Barcelona.
He joins his fellow WTCR competitors Jean-Karl Vernay, who is in contention for the European title, and Norbert Michelisz who makes his maiden appearance in the series.
Berthon will drive an Audi RS3 LMS run by the Belgium-based Comtoyou Racing, the same team he drives for in the WTCR; he joins Comtoyou TCR Europe regular Maxime Potty who is currently leading the TCR Benelux Trophy.
The 29-year-old Frenchman has spent the first part of his racing career in single-seaters, moving up from Formula Renault, to GP2 and Formula E. More recently he switched to sports car competition and at the beginning of the current season he made his Touring Car debut in the WTCR.
Two weeks ago in China, he has celebrated his first podium, finishing third on the Wuhan Street Circuit.
