Driver quotes after the Qualifying at Assen

Josh Files (first fastest): "I am very happy of how things went up in Qualifying. We worked well on the set-up, improving throughout the sessions. It's a bittersweet feeling however, as I will start from P4 because of the penalty, but it's always nice to win a pole. It's a nice reward for the entire KCMG team and all the good work they have done. I had some oversteer in Q1, but the corrections we made worked well, and I think we will be ok in the race as we were very happy with the long run pace when we tested it in free practice."

Jean-Karl Vernay (second fastest): "I had a really good first flying lap, taking into account that we are not very fast in the third sector, so we are very happy with the result, although it is frustrating to miss the pole for so little. Still, I will be starting from P1 because of Files' sanction, and my direct rivals, Borković and Azcona, are behind. There is a good opportunity in Race 1 for us. The team did a great job in repairing the chassis after yesterday's damage, and this proved again how efficient the guys are."

Maxime Potty (third fastest): "It was a good Qualifying session for us, we just managed to get everything in the right place. It was not an obvious result, as we had a difficult start of the weekend, but we have worked well and improved consistently, session after session."

Danny Kroes (tenth fastest): "We had a really good Q1, I am a very happy with how things went. Q2 was a different story, I had a lot of understeer, too much grip on the rear, maybe we got a set of tyres that was not performing how they should. Clearly, it will be very nice to start Race 2 from pole position in my home event, and we'll be aiming for giving the crowd something to cheer about!"
