Halder joins Hell Energy Racing for Barcelona finale

Hell Energy Racing with KCMG will expand to a three-car line-up in Spain next weekend as TCR Germany title contender Mike Halder joins the team for the TCR Europe season finale.
The 22-year-old from Baden-Wurttemberg joins up with team regulars Josh Files and Attila Tassi as they attempt to become series champions and add to the three titles already taken by the JAS Motorsport-built Honda Civic Type R TCR in 2018.
Having begun his racing career in one-make GT racing in his homeland in 2014, Halder switched to touring cars in TCR Germany two years later and finished as series runner-up in TCR Germany in 2016.
Switching to Honda machinery with Honda Team ADAC Sachsen for this year, he scored three pole positions – more than anybody else. He also won three times – a total unbeaten by any rivals – on his way to fourth in the championship.
Hell Energy Racing with KCMG lies seven points off the top spot in the TCR Europe Teams’ Championship with 95 available across qualifying and two races.
Tassi and Files are fourth and sixth in the Drivers’ title race and are respectively 41 and 55 points away from the series lead with 55 available.

Halder said: “I’m very excited to be making my TCR Europe debut this weekend. I have two targets; to support Attila and Josh in helping the team win the Championship, and to perform strongly and show people what I can do. I’ve had many pole positions and wins in TCR Germany this year and it will be interesting to see how I can fit in with a new team at a new circuit. I think it’s going to be an amazing weekend for the fans and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
