Franco Girolami (1st): “I can’t believe it. I’m very happy for my team, PSS Racing, for JAS, for the Honda family, for Argentina, for my brother and for my girlfriend. I’m really, really happy and we will continue to try to win. This is my first victory in TCR Europe and so I’m very happy with this result.”
Niels Langeveld (2nd): “To be honest, when you cross the finish line the first thing you think of is that it’s a disappointment. If I was eager to win one race it was this one. Yesterday we had to pace ourselves to win today. The Honda was faster, it was unstoppable, plus I had an issue with my brakes. In the end, this was my first podium of the season after finishing P4 three times and two DNFs; then you have to be happy. The championship is my goal and it’s far from over. I go light to Spa and that’s really important and we have to strike for the win there. If you look at my results, one time I got pushed out by Borkovič and the other was an opportunistic move by Young – both times I ended up kicked out of the race. If that hadn’t happened, I would be leading the Championship. The race pace is there and the team is doing a good job. I’m really proud to be racing with Sébastien Loeb Racing and with Hyundai this year.”
Isidro Callejas (3rd): “This result is amazing, the feeling is just amazing. It was a hard race and I didn’t have the best of starts, but then I pushed a lot and I was able to pass Clairet. After that, I just managed my tyres and that was that. The race for me was very clean, very fair, and I have no words to describe it – just amazing! It will be difficult for me to win a race, I think. This is my first year in this Championship so it will be difficult for me to improve I think, but you can be sure that I will try my best.”
