2025 title contender #6: Max Hart

In his first season in TCR Europe, the fast Irishman remains in contention for the championship although his chances are a bit on the outside. A tough start to the year was certainly turned around from the third round, after a victory and a podium at Hockenheim ignited his title battle.

So with a win and a second place in the two races in Germany, and a third place in Austria, the highs of his season have by far outshone his lows – and critically he’s finished in the points in every race which keeps him contention.

What does he have to do to win the title?

39 points behind the leading pair is a tall order, although he scored 61 at Hockenheim, so it’s certainly within his capabilities to score, though should he repeat his Germany results for example, he’d need points leaders Marco Butti and Eric Gené to only score 22, and similar low scores from the rest of the top five contenders. While unlikely, it’s certainly not impossible should there be a dramatic final weekend to the season.
