A Peugeot 308 TCR for Julien Briché

France-based JSB Compétition announced its participation in the 2018 TCR Europe series. The team will field one new Peugeot 308 TCR for Julien Briché, the reigning champion of the Peugeot 308 Racing Cup.
“This marks a big step forward for our team, as the TCR Europe series will feature a great deal of strong teams and drivers. For the time being we have finalised the programme for one car, but we are in negotiations with a few other drivers to run a second 308 TCR from the beginning of the season,” said the team manager.

Briché, 37-year-olf from Clermont-Ferrand, is very experienced with front-wheel drive Touring Cars, having been a top-runner in the Peugeot and SEAT one-make trophies for many years. Before claiming last year’s crown in the Peugeot 308 Racing Cup he had been a double champion in the Peugeot 206 Cup (2002 and 2005) and won the French SEAT León Supercópa in 2010.
“I am very proud to begin this new adventure in the TCR Europe series with the Peugeot 308 TCR. The car is well born and has a great potential. It will be a tough championship, with a lot of very fast driver, but we will do our best to show off!” declared Briché.
