TCR Europe regular Adam Shepherd was a race winner on his second 'unplanned outing' in the TCR UK championship, powering to victory from the midfield in Race 1 at the Donington Park Grand Prix circuit on Sunday.

After a competitive debut weekend, the British racer was carrying the maximum 40kg of compensation weight aboard his Audi RS 3 LMS, but still managed to wrestle a victory in the race, coming forward from fifth on the grid.

From tenth on the grid for Race 2, Shepherd encored with a third place finish, marking five consecutive podium finishes in his short 2026 TCR UK campaign.

ALM Motorsport and Max Hart had an good weekend, while not making it onto the podium, fourth and fifth in a pair of races in which their title rivals ran into various troubles was good for the Irishman's championship aspirations. Hart now enjoyes a 27-point lead heading into the final two race meetings of the 2026 TCR UK championship season.

The next racing commitment for both drivers is the upcoming round of the TCR Europe series at Monza, with Hart and ALM Motorsport both back in their Honda Civic Type R FL5 TCR, while Shepherd returns to Barcelona-based Monlau Competition and also switches back to the CUPRA Leon VZ TCR.
