Alex Ley and Junesung Park have picked up penalties for incidents during today’s first race at Monza, with Ley given a ten-second penalty while Park picks up a grid penalty for tomorrow.

Park made contact with the ALM Motorsport Honda of Ruben Volt at Turn 1 on the first lap, which caused the Estonian to be turned around. Volt recovered to finish the race in fifth place, which has now become fourth due to the penalty for Ley.

Alex Ley also made contact at Turn 1, this time on the second lap and with the CUPRA of Victor Weyrich. Weyrich would go on to retire, while Ley finished the race in fourth position. With the ten second penalty, Ley drops behind Volt and Viktor Andersson to sixth in the final classification.

Park’s penalty was a five-place grid drop for tomorrow’s race, which will put him eighth on the grid, after he was due to start third behind pole-sitter Marco Butti and Alex Ley.
