Franco Girolami (provisional TCR Europe Drivers’ Champion): “I want to thank Comtoyou Racing, for all their support and for trusting me. I’m proud to be with such a professional team, and we deserved this title. We did a great job all year. I want to thank the team; all the mechanics, Francois (Verbist) and Jean-Michel (Baert) for trusting me, and Viktor Davidovski. Right now, my focus will be on the races, as we have to finish the season in the best way possible”

Jack Young (fastest):“It was a good session. We’re delighted with pole, but the job isn’t finished yet. I think there were a few mistakes from our competitors – we just wanted to get it right but Race 1 could be more difficult. We know the Audis are quick off the line and with Tom right behind me I think that’s going to be a good battle.”

Tom Coronel (2^nd): “I think it was good. I could have been a few tenths faster as I made a small mistake on my fast lap; I had oversteer going onto the straight, and I overshot the chicane a little bit. I was just pushing as hard as I could. I feel good with this car, we saw it at the Nürburgring. From Spa, I’ve felt really at one with my European car; I feel different with my WTCR car, but my European car feels really good. I’ve saved some tyres, so I’m ready to race!”

Isidro Callejas (3^rd): “I’m really happy with my performance but I’m quite upset with the P1 of Young as he’s quite far away from us. I don’t know how he can be so fast; I know him really well and I know he’s a really good driver, but okay. I was full power all Qualifying, and I couldn’t do any more. It’ll be difficult to do anything about Tom and Jack ahead, but we will try.”
