Borković leads a lively free practice 2 session

It was a lively free practice session 2 at Zandvoort, as the sun started to break out through the clouds. Four drivers alternated on top of the rankings throughout the session: Maxime Potty, Mikel Azcona, Jaap van Lagen and Dušan Borkovič.
Eventually, it was the Serbian driver of the Target competition Hyundai i30 N who posted the best lap time of 1:45.428 in the dying moments of the session, beating the Leopard Lukoil Team Audi of van Lagen by a mere 0.098 seconds.
Attila Tassi (Hell Energy KCMG Honda) recovered from a poor performance this morning to take third fastest in 1:45.782, ahead of Potty (Comtoyou Racing Vokswagen) 1:45.824, Azcona (PCR Sport Cupra) 1:45.871 and Kris Richard (Target Competition Hyundai) 1:46.275.
Two other drivers, Stian Paulsen (Cupra) and Reece Barr (Target Competition Hyundai) were within a one-second gap from the best time.
In front of his home crowd, the other Dutch driver in contention, Danny Kroes (PCR Sport Cupra) finished in P14, while Francisco Mora’s car had to be rescued from Turn 2 after going off.
Qualifying will take place this afternoon at 15:45.
