BRC Racing Team returns to the TCR Europe Touring Car Series this year with two cars for Gabriele Covini and Alex Ley, as the team returns for its first full season in the championship since 2020.

The team from Cherasco, Italy, will field a pair of Hyundai Elantra N TCRs for 2026, after making its return late last year for the final two events where it ran a single car for Pavia-based Covini. The Italian driver picked up a pair of points finishes, including a seventh place result at the action-packed Barcelona finale.

The 20-year-old Covini made his touring car debut in the TCR Italy championship at the start of 2024, and so has been with BRC Racing Team since the start of his career, with a best finish of fourth place at Vallelunga in 2025, where he showed incredible speed with two pole positions in the competitive Italian series.

Alex Ley, also 20, from Southend in the United Kingdom, has spent two years in TCR Italy where he's been a regular front-runner and a three-time race winner. This was following two seasons in the TCR UK championship where he scored five victories, and finished second in the drivers' standings in 2023, one place ahead of now reigning TCR Europe champion Jenson Brickley.
