Luxembourg-based Burton Racing has confirmed an entry for its Peugeot 308 car in this weekend’s TCR Europe event at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. The car will be driven by Caren Burton, who was born in Malmedy and so will enjoy ‘home advantage’ at the Spa circuit.
Forty-year-old Burton has a history of competing in Citroën cars in rallies, including the Ypres and Westhoek events in his native Belgium, although he also shared a Peugeot 308 TCR car with the 2016 TCR Europe Drivers’ champion Pierre-Yves Corthals in the 2019 TCR Spa 500 event, in which they finished in sixth place overall, winning the AM category. Corthals will be the Team Manager for Burton this weekend.
