A full grid is confirmed for the eleventh season of the TCR Europe series ahead of the season opener in Italy in two months' time, with 13 teams set to be on the grid.
The TCR Europe Touring Car Series today confirms it has a capacity entry of 26 cars for its 2026 season following a successful pre-registration period, with two more positions on the grid reserved at the discretion of the promoter, meaning a potential of 28 cars are set to contest the season from the opening race at the Mugello International Autodrome in Italy on March 20-22.
This is after an earlier than expected take up of all of the remaining positions on the grid when the entry was opened up on January 1st.
Today, the list of teams and number of cars entered can now be confirmed, with driver and manufacturer announcements due over the next few weeks ahead of the season opener.
The majority of teams that took part in the 2025 season are returning, plus three new teams, which makes a total of 13 teams, from six different countries represented on the grid.
Monlau Motorsport, which won the drivers', teams', and young drivers' titles in 2025, return with an expanded three-car line-up.
2024 teams' champions ALM Motorsport will also be back on the grid this year. RC2 Racing Team, which ran the driver that won the Diamond Best Trophy last season will also return, as well as South Korean team Solite Indigo Racing, after the Hyundai-equipped team ended 2025 on a high with victory at the season finale in Barcelona.
AIKOA Racing, PMA Motorsport, and MM Motorsport, the three Italian teams which all were front-running operations last year, with MM Motorsport vying for the drivers' title right up until the final race, will all also return.
BRC Racing Team, which runs the factory supported Hyundai Motorsport programme in the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour, made its return to the TCR Europe series late last year, and will be on the grid full-time for the coming season.
JSB Compétition, run by experienced owner-driver Julien Briché, himself a title contender in the 2019 season, has also entered the 2026 season.
Team Clairet Sport, which narrowly missed out on the drivers' and teams' championships last year despite a sensational effort from racing brothers Teddy and Jimmy Clairet, will return to have another shot at the title.
French team Herrero Racing will make its competitive debut in TCR competition as one of the two all-new teams to TCR Europe. The other new team is leading TCR South America outfit Squadra Martino, the team that won the 2023 and 2025 championships, with the Argentinian operation becoming the second squad from outside of Europe to compete in the series.
Last is the returning French team SP Compétition, which were contenders for both the drivers' and teams' titles in 2024, and will be back on the grid after successful programmes in France and in the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour last year. The team, run by driver-turned-team owner Sylvain Pussier, won three races on the world stage in 2025, as well as the FFSA TC France drivers' title.
"I'm delighted to be able to confirm that we have a full grid for the 2026 season, with two months before our first race of the year," said series promoter Rubén Fernández.
"We had an incredible season, all of the teams and drivers from last year helped us to be able to deliver an incredible show, and with all 28 positions on the grid already taken up, we're confident we can go even further this year to deliver an incredible championship, and an opportunity for drivers to develop to the next level.
"We have an incredible calendar, racing at some of the best circuits in Italy, Belgium, France, Spain, and Hungary, truly representing the best that European racing can offer."
