Champion Jenson Brickley makes the step to the FIA TCR World Tour

2025 TCR Europe drivers' champion Jenson Brickley has been confirmed on the grid in this year's Kumho FIA TCR World Tour. The British driver will pair up with 2024 teams' champions ALM Motorsport as he competes in the European leg of the top tier of touring car competition.

As the prize for winning the 2025 title, which was claimed right at the final race of the season in one of the most dramatic races of the year, the 21-year-old won a fully covered entry fee plus 100 Kumho Ecsta race tyres in the series, with a financial value of 107,000 EUR.

"I'm super-excited to be joining ALM Motorsport for my Kumho FIA TCR World Tour debut,” said Brickley. “After winning the TCR Europe title last season, stepping up to the World Tour feels like the natural next challenge. The prize fund from TCR Europe has played a key role, and I thank Marcello Lotti, Rubén Fernández and everyone involved in that for keeping me on the grid. Competing on a global stage has always been my goal, and this is an opportunity that I'm hugely grateful for and am ready to make the most of.”

ALM Motorsport, which won the teams' title in its debut season in 2024 and was a front-runner throughout last year as well, will be running a Honda Civic Type R FL5 TCR for Brickley, alongside its programme in TCR Europe this year.

Team principal Martin Laur said:

"We are pleased to welcome Jenson as he takes the next step in his career by joining the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour. Having the reigning TCR Europe champion as part of our team is a great privilege. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated his ability to compete at the highest level and establish himself as a successful competitor in every series he has contested. We look forward to taking on this new challenge together and are confident that this collaboration will allow us to achieve strong results."

"We are delighted to welcome the reigning TCR Europe champion to the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour for the European events," said WSC Group president Marcello Lotti.

"One of the founding principles of TCR has always been to create a ladder that allows the best drivers from national and regional championships to progress to the world stage. Brickley’s move with ALM Motorsport perfectly embodies this philosophy.”
