Changes to the weight-scale for TCR cars

With immediate application, the WSC Group’s technical department has changed the range of the Balance of Performance: This followed the decision taken by the Touring Car Working Group in order not to penalise those cars that couldn’t achieve the Minimum Racing Weight.
The new range spans from -10kg to +70kg and replaces the previous range from 0kg to 60kg.
As a consequence, the BoP ballast of all the cars has been increased by 20kg. The list of the Minimum Racing Weights now allocates 1325kg to the heaviest cars (Hyundai i30 N, Hyundai Veloster N and Lynk&Co 03), while the lightest car is the Peugeot 308 Racing Cup (1185kg).
As for the Compensation Weight, all cars will start the season at 0kg; this value will be modified after each event by the Automatic CW Formula that allocates a maximum of 40kg. However, the maximum value of the Compensation Weight may be subjected to further modifications after the 2020 BoP tests will be finalised.
