DG Sport gets ready for the start of the season

A few days before the TCR Europe Series will kick off at the Hungaroring, DG Sport Compétition is tackling this new continental challenge with enthusiasm.

We received a new Peugeot 308 TCR, with all its 2019 evolutions, a fortnight ago, and since then we have carried out one test at Circuit Zolder and two at Spa-Francorchamps, said Lionel Hansen, DG Sport Compétition’s Technical Director. “The aim was to allow Aurélien Comte to build up kilometres while at the same time working on the set-up for short runs, of the qualifying type, as also on the longer runs with a view to the races. Everyone is fully aware of the issues of the Hungaroring: it’s a circuit where overtaking is extremely difficult, hence the importance of producing a good performance level as from the Qualifying. Taking into account the system of the reversed grid, one needs to aim at being in the top 10. We know the Peugeot 308 TCR well, Comte is capable of pulling out all the stops over one lap against the clock, for sure. Admittedly the Balance de Performance still represents an enigma, but all the dials are on green…”
The campaign is supported by Herock and Protection Unit.
