Josh Files (pole position): “I said before the session that it was going to be super tricky and I didn’t actually think it was going to be possible to set the pole with the weight we have and the top speed of the Audi cars. I just strung a lap together, it was absolutely on the limit everywhere and I had nothing left to give. I’m really proud of myself and the team and everyone for working so hard to get the car as it is. I hope it’ll be a fast Hyundai off the start line and then a very wide Hyundai for the rest of the race! Gilles Magnus is very fast and they’ve got a very good setup with that car, so it’s anyone’s race really.”

Gilles Magnus (2^nd): “I wanted to be on pole for sure, we’re close and I think the last lap could have been better. In the last sector on my first lap in Q2, I didn’t push enough and so the second time I said now I’m going to take a few risks and I went into the wall. But still, we’re happy with P2 and I think it will be a good weekend for us; the Audi is really quick here and we should take some good points. The start will be really interesting – I practiced a lot yesterday and so it should be okay.”

Luca Engstler (3^rd): “I will try to make the perfect start and I will push like hell for the first two laps and see how it goes. I want be on the podium for the first race for sure, but I have nothing to lose as I am so far off in the championship, so I will throw everything at it. Tyre degradation will be quite high, so you never know what will happen, but I think we have a really good race pace; we worked a lot on the setup with old tyres and so I think we have a big advantage compared to the others.”
