Dušan Borković has announced that he is returning to TCR Europe for the 2023 season, driving a Target Competition Hyundai Elantra N that will carry his familiar race number 62. This season marks the 30^th year in motorsport for Borković and the Serbian driver has stated that his goal is an appearance in the TCR World Final via the TCR World Rankings.

Dušan last appeared in TCR Europe in a Comtoyou Racing Audi RS 3 LMS in 2021, finishing the season in 12^th position in the Drivers’ standings. Previously, he drove a Hyundai i30 N for Target Competition in both 2018 and 2019, with 2018 being his most successful season in the championship to date when he recorded three race victories on his way to finishing the year in 3^rd place.

Target Competition has twice won the TCR Europe Teams’ title, in 2017 and again in 2019 when they also secured the Drivers’ championship for Josh Files. In addition, the outfit - from Andriano in the South Tyrol area of Italy - has finished second in the Teams’ championship on no fewer than three occasions and so Borković must be confident of a good points haul during the 2023 season.

Dušan Borković said: "I am very excited to get back to TCR Europe, participate in the inaugural TCR World Ranking and especially considering that the series will run three joint events with the new TCR World Tour. The scoring system is much simpler than it seems. Often when explaining to my friends, I compare it to the scoring mechanism of the ATP rankings in tennis and then it becomes much clearer.
