Eric Gené has lost his second place finish at Portimão following a post-race penalty applied for the first lap incident, which saw both Felice Jelmini and Marco Butti retire from the race with damage.
Gené made a move on Jelmini's PMA Motorsport Audi on the way up to Turn 4 and made a move down the inside, which resulted in contact, and also saw the MM Motorsport Honda of Marco Butti caught up in the incident, sustaining front-end damage to his Civic Type R.
The resulting penalty drops Gené from second to fifth, and promotes Gené's team-mate Brickley to second, and the brother of race winner Jimmy Clairet, Teddy, to third.
PMA Motorsport's Nic Taylor is promoted to fourth place, effectively moving up 11 positions in the race.
The stewards also awarded a five-second penalty to Felipe Fernández for an incident with Target Competition's Max Hart at Turn 3 on lap 13, when Fernández hit the rear of Hart's Elantra. The penalty drops Fernández to 12th, behind Hart in the final result.
