Felice Jelmini to face international debut at Monza

TCR Italy’s rookie Felice Jelmini will make his international racing debut this week in the TCR Europe event at Monza. He will drive the same Hyundai i30 N car run by PMA Motorsport he successfully uses in the Italian championship.
After a few seasons in the Italian Renault Clio Cup, in which he clinched the title last year, the 25-year-old Jelmini has been very impressive in his maiden TCR Italy season. He has won a race at Imola and lies fourth in the standings, 25 points behind the leader Eric Brigliadori. He was also stripped of two more victories at Mugello for a penalty and Misano for a technical infringement.

“I’m over the moon, because I have been a great fan of TCR from its very beginning and have followed all the races. Stepping up to TCR Europe, even for a one-off appearance, is a great feeling. I’m especially happy to race in Monza, because it’s my home race, as I live nearby. It’s a kind of realization for my maiden full season in TCR that is going well, with good results in TCR Italy. We are working well with PMA Motorsport, spending time to find the right set up for the Hyundai, and our commitment is actually paying back,” Jelmini said.
