With Marie-Baus Coppens skipping the Monza event, Giovanni Altoé was left the only competitor in the TCR Europe DSG Challenge.
This meant that the Italian driver needed only to finish the two races at the wheel of his Audi RS3 LMS run by PitLane Competizioni in order to win the title before the final event at Barcelona. And he duly did.
One week before, at Vallellunga, he had already clinched TCR Italy’s DSG Trophy, again with one event still to go.
Altoè is also fighting for TCR Italy’s Under 25 Trophy, as he currently lies second in the standings, 9.5 points behind Eric Scalvini and five ahead of Matteo Greco.
