Jimmy Clairet leads the TCR Europe series after a strong weekend at Portimão, with Team Clairet Sport also leading the teams’ championship in its strongest weekend yet in the series, with the French driver hopeful of a strong showing next time out at what’s closest to being the team’s home race, Spa-Francorchamps.

“I’m happy to lead the championship, the bad point is I’ll be carrying the maximum success ballast, but at least that means we’ve had a good weekend. We know this Audi is a great car, and it should work for us in Spa - a track we know very well,” said Clairet.

“I really enjoyed this race, we had amazing battles with all the guys, with a lot of fair play.”
