Russia’s Touring Car young star Klim Gavrilov will make another one-off appearance in the TCR Europe series at Spa-Francorchamps.
The 19-year old from St. Petersburg took part in last year’s European finale at Barcelona; at Spa he will be driving the very same VRC Team Audi RS 3 LMS he’s currently using in the TCR Russia championship.
Gavrilov began racing in TCR Russia in 2017, scoring one race victory at the wheel of a Lukoil Racing SEAT León. He began its second season in the championship driving an Audi RS 3 LMS for the same team and winning the opening race at Fort Grozny; he then moved to a VRC Team-run Volkswagen Golf GTI and scored two other race wins to finish fifth in the standings.
In the current season, after making a one-off appearance in TCR Italy at Monza, where he won Race 1, he’s again lying fifth in the TCR Russia standings with one victory at Nizhniy Novgorod.
