Yann Ehrlacher (fastest): “It is tough to overtake here, so starting on Pole is always good. We need to focus on the start and then through Turn 1 to stay in front, but it will not be easy with Néstor behind. He’s a very experienced driver and he’s quite fair and everything – I’m happy to fight with him on track, he’s strong and that’s what I like. I need to be careful and spot on with everything I do. I expect it to be a tough race, if I get through the first corner in front then we have a chance to win the race. It will not be easy at all, so we need to secure the first bit of the race first then we will see.”

Viktor Andersson (fastest TCR Europe): “That was very good. P7 overall is really pleasing, but also having the Pole Position in TCR Europe is amazing! Getting our second Pole of the year is great, particularly since it’s so hot here in Hungary but during the session we managed to start our last lap with, I think, one second left to the flag and it all worked out pretty well. In terms of the race, we are not too sure on how the car will behave. Yesterday we had just one session in the dry with another in the rain, so we didn’t feel so much on that. The last sector will be a little difficult on old tyres I think, but we will try our best and we will see.”
