Yann Ehrlacher (fastest): “Qualifying went well. I put a good lap on the board in Q2 and my lap 1 in Q1 was quite good as well, but I maximised the performance of myself and the car all together on my lap in Q2. It’s a reward for everyone here (at Cyan Racing Lynk & Co). It’s a new car, coming into a new championship with new tyres, so we are happy with what we have achieved for the new model in Qualifying. Now we have to focus on the race to try to maximise our chances of taking some good points.”

Kobe Pauwels (fastest TCR Europe): “That was a good one, for sure! In Q1 we didn’t take many risks because we just wanted to go through to Q2 and make sure we don’t carry too much weight at the Hungaroring for the next TCR Europe round and we succeeded. Then in Q2 I went out early, without any slipstream and nobody following me – I think I was something like a minute ahead of anyone else coming out of the pit lane and that paid off; there was some bumping ahead of me from people who were trying to get a slipstream and so I took an advantage from that, to not be in the fight and take pole position in TCR Europe.”
