M1RA signs TCR Portugal champion Francisco Mora

Double TCR Portugal champion Francisco Mora has joined M1RA, the 2017 Teams’ Champion of the TCR International Series, for the 2018 TCR Europe Series.
Mora will drive one of the Hungarian team’s Hyundai i30 N cars alongside Dániel Nagy who made a brilliant debut in the WTCR last weekend at the Hungaroring, scoring in all three races and finishing second in Race 2.
The 21-year-old driver has already built himself a reputation in TCR competition, securing two consecutive TCR Portugal titles (2016/2017) and adding the TCR Spain title last year.

“We repeat the same pattern as last year, with a line-up formed by a young Hungarian talent and a national TCR champion. We are happy to welcome Francisco in the team; he has proved his potential in the Portuguese and Spanish series and is eager for European success. Having another young and talented driver is a gift for us all in the M1RA team. I look at the upcoming season with positive feelings,” said team principal Dávid Bári.

“I am excited to join M1RA. Considering its results in last year’s TCR International Series, I believe that this is one of the best teams in Europe. I expect a tough competition in TCR Europe, but we have the potential to be at the front. The Hyundai i30 N is an amazing car and together with M1RA we have all we need to be competitive,” Mora stated.
