Max Hart returns for the 2026 TCR Europe Touring Car Series, with the Irish driver moving to 2024 teams' champions ALM Motorsport, and will drive one of the team's Honda Civic Type R FL5 TCRs as a JAS Motorsport Supported Driver.
The 24-year-old heads into his seventh year of TCR competition, after graduating from the TCR UK championship after three seasons and spending a year in China, racing in the highly competitive TCR China championship where he won the prestigious Macau Touring Car Cup at the end of the season.
He was then a title contender for the TCR Asia series for two years before joining TCR Europe last year, winning early in the season at Hockenheim, and remained an outside contender for the title right up until the final weekend in Spain.
Now for 2026, Hart will join the Estonian-based ALM Motorsport team, and after years of experience with CUPRA and Hyundai, he will race a Honda for the first time in his touring car career.
“I’m extremely proud both to become a JAS Motorsport Supported Driver and to announce this exciting programme with ALM Motorsport," said Hart.
"Working so closely with JAS Motorsport is going to be super-beneficial for me and I plan to learn everything I can to help my progression as a driver and to help them with their testing and their customer programmes. Racing with ALM Motorsport – who are a fantastic and ultra-professional team – puts me in the best position possible to fight for the TCR Europe title and I couldn’t be looking forward to the season any more…”
Mads Fischer, JAS Motorsport's TCR project leader, added:
“We’re very pleased to welcome Max to the JAS Motorsport family and to see him positioned with a fantastic championship-winning team like ALM Motorsport as he bids to win in TCR Europe in 2026.
"Max is a driver who has raced in TCR championships all over the world and won races in all of them – including on one of the most demanding circuits of all on the streets of Macau. We’ve seen previous JAS Motorsport Supported Drivers, like Ignacio Montenegro and Josh Files, win major TCR championships, so we know that the formula works and that a talented driver like Max can take full advantage of the opportunity he now has.”
