As announced in July, the TCR Europe series will hold a special open test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Wednesday 16th September, with the series’ teams as well as any other TCR teams able to take part ahead of the final leg of the season.

Following on from the cancellation of the second race of the TCR Europe Cup, the TCR Europe Touring Car Series has added an unofficial test at the Spanish circuit, which will also host the season finale on 23-25 October.

All existing TCR Europe teams will be automatically invited to the test, though participation is not mandatory. The series has also opened up the test to any teams who are already looking to compete in the final two race meetings of the 2026 season, those who are evaluating the series ahead of potential participation in 2027, or any owners of TCR cars who are just after additional track time in a category-locked test.

All teams will operate from the pit lane garages, and a supply of Kumho ECSTA TCR tyres will be available to purchase onsite.
