Mike and Michelle Halder move to TCR Europe

With a last-minute move, German siblings Mike and Michelle Halder have entered for the full season in the TCR Europe series.
They will race two Honda Civic Type R cars under the banner of the Profi Car Team Halder.
Mike and Michelle have built a solid reputation in the ADAC TCR Germany during the previous seasons. After impressing at the wheel of Volkswagen and SEAT cars in 2016 and 2017, Mike switched to the Honda Civic and was a serious title contender over the latest two years, claiming five race wins and finishing twice a close fourth in the standings.
Michelle joined the championship in 2018, when she took over Mike’s SEAT. In 2019 she became the first lady to win a race in TCR Germany when she managed to beat Antti Buri in the second race at Zandvoort on her way to finish seventh in the standings.

“I always had TCR Europe on my agenda as a follow-up and only the missing title in TCR Germany had kept me away from this step so far, but now we think the time has come for us to move ahead. And we want to thank Profi Car for confirming their support and following us in this new adventure,” said Mike, who had already made a very successful appearance in the European series in 2018 at Barcelona, where he won the second race.

With Andreas and Jessica Bäckman already confirmed, the arrival of the Halders means that TCR Europe will features two pairs of siblings.
