More than 20 cars projected for the revitalised TCR Europe series

An incredible 20+ cars are expected for the relaunched TCR Europe series this year, with all of the teams that took part full-time in 2024 returning. In addition to this, a number of exciting new high profile teams, some of which had guest outings last year, will also join the grid, highlighting a strong commitment under the series’ new promoter.

Today the TCR Europe series can confirm that eleven teams are already committed to the series, which is now promoted by Rubén Fernández; a racing driver with a long-standing commitment to the TCR concept, having first raced in the category in 2020, and having competed in more than 75 races across seven disciplines.

“I’m delighted with the reception that we’ve had for the 2025 TCR Europe season from the teams,” said Fernández.

“We’ve been working hard throughout the winter, and we have a quality calendar this year with some fantastic tracks, and we can also confirm an incredible array of highly professional teams, which will bring with them equally strong drivers as we relaunch the series this year.”

With over 11 weeks until the start of the 2025 season at the Autódromo do Algarve in Portugal, there’s  potential for more teams to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

The series is looking to establish itself as a leading division in tin-top racing, and will also be the key feeder series to the top tier of touring car competition, FIA TCR World Tour, with the series using the same specification of Kumho race tyres, and with a prize fund of tyres as well as a fully funded entry in the TCR World Tour next year, which was announced last week.

“I want to thank all the teams that have confirmed their participation today. It’s fantastic to be able to confirm such an amazing and truly international field of teams this early, and with some time before the season starts, we hope to have even more announcements in the coming weeks, especially given our strong prize initiatives which we announced last week.”
