Nicola Baldan is back in the 2026 TCR Europe Touring Car Series with the same brand, but a new team, as the experienced Italian racer moves across to PMA Motorsport to race one of its Audi RS 3 LMSs this year.
Former rivals Nicola Baldan and Nicolas Taylor are joining forces at PMA Motorsport after competing against one another in TCR Italy for the past two years. Now as team-mates, 2017 TCR Italy champion and TCR Europe race winner Baldan will contest the season alongside Taylor, as PMA looks to build on the momentum of its competitive debut year.
PMA Motorsport also picked up its first win at Hockenheim in 2025 after an inspired strategic call, and went on to finish in seventh in the tightly-contested teams' championship.
"I am truly delighted to announce my participation in the TCR Europe series with PMA," said Baldan.
"Joining this team is a great source of pride for me: I have found an extremely professional, skilled, and motivated environment, where we share the same goals and the same passion for racing.
"It will be equally exciting to share the garage with Nicolas Taylor, a highly talented driver and a key reference within the team. I am fully aware of that, just as I am determined to carve out my own space, step-by-step, on track.
"I approach this new challenge with enthusiasm and determination. I would like to thank PMA and my sponsors for their trust and support: I can’t wait to get on track and give my very best together."
The team added: “We are excited to collaborate with such an experienced driver as Nicola for this TCR Europe season.
"The relationship between us has always been very respectful, we know that for sure we can be competitive and fight with the best drivers and aim for the title."
