Jean-Karl Vernay (winner): "It was a lively race, with fights from the very first moment... and I am very happy of this victory. I had a really poor start and it was my fault because I changed the settings of the clutch on the pre-grid. It wasn't a very smart move, as everybody has seen. I was lucky not to lose more positions at turn 1 then I could recover. The car was great and we had really good pace. Now I am really focused on doing equally well in Race 2, that is what we have to do if we want to stay in contention for the title, but I must say that Azcona is very consistent and it is going to be very tough."
Mikel Azcona (second): "I am super happy, this is a really great result and what we were aiming at. It's very good for the championship, especially given that Borković finished fifth. It was a tough race, but we had a good rhythm and an excellent set-up since the beginning of the weekend. Here at Monza the car works beautifully and it's probably where the car is performing best this season."
Josh Files (third): "I am happy with the result; it was a tough race and quite hard work but I had fun. There was quite some fighting and in the last laps it was hard to stay ahead of Potty, but I made it and it's nice to be on the podium. The car was good, but we did not have the same pace of the guys upfront."
