The Barcelona-based RC2 Junior Team has announced that it will enter three cars for the third event of the 2022 TCR Europe Series at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium this weekend. The cars will be driven by Sergio López and brothers Rubén and Felipe Fernández.

All three drivers contested at least one round of TCR Europe in 2021, with Rubén Fernández finishing twelfth in Race 1 at Monza and López finishing thirteenth in Race 2 in Barcelona, one place ahead of Felipe Fernández. This year, the trio are contesting the TCR Italy series with the highlight of the season so far being Rubén Fernández winning Race 2 at Imola in early May.

For the Spa-Francorchamps event, Felipe Fernández and Sergio López will drive CUPRA Leon Competición cars while Rubén Fernández will be at the wheel of an Audi RS 3 LMS II TCR. López is eligible for the TCR Europe Rookie Championship while the Fernández siblings will be eligible to score points in the Diamond Trophy.
