“My time as TCR Europe promoter has come to an end”, says Rubén Fernández, who after two seasons as the promoter of the TCR Europe series will leave his role at the end of the 2026 season.

During the last two years, Fernández and his team have played a key role in rebuilding and strengthening the championship, helping TCR Europe to establish itself as one of the most competitive and respected international touring car series.

With grid sizes regularly exceeding 24 cars, exciting door-to-door battles at some of Europe's most acclaimed racing circuits, and with the support of leading teams and drivers from across Europe and further afield, TCR Europe has cemented its position amongst the world's leading touring car championships.

“My time as TCR Europe promoter has come to an end. It’s not an easy thing to say, because these two years have meant a lot to me,” said Fernández. “We have been through a lot together, worked incredibly hard and, most importantly, built something we can all be proud of.”

“I want to sincerely thank the whole TCR Europe staff, every team, and every driver who trusted us and believed in the project. Without them, none of what we have achieved would have been possible.”

As he looks towards the future, Fernández admits that his next project has yet to be decided, but remains positive about what lies ahead.

“I’m currently looking at different opportunities and looking at where the future will take me. I don’t know exactly what comes next, but I’m sure there will be something exciting. For now, I just want to enjoy this final race of the season, spend it with the TCR Europe family and, above all, say thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.”
