Ruben Volt led an all-Honda top two in the last practice session of the weekend, with the Estonian finishing just ahead of his team-mate Mike Halder, while Gabriele Covini was the closest threat in third in his BRC Racing Team Hyundai.
The Hondas looked quick throughout the session, with Volt’s time coming in the final ten minutes of 1:49.029, three-tenths faster than Halder.
Covini displaced the best-placed CUPRA of Mikhail Simonov in the final minutes. Simonov had bounced back after missing much of the first session due to a technical issue in his SP Compétition-run machine.
Junesung Park, who had led the first session, was fifth-fastest in his Solite Indigo Racing Hyundai, just ahead of title contender Alex Ley in the rival Hyundai run by BRC Racing Team.
Championship leader Marco Butti was ninth-fastest and the best of the three Monlau Motorsport entries, with team-mate and title contender Viktor Andersson 12th.
The two PMA Motorsport Audis of Nicola Baldan and Nicolas Taylor were 11th and 15th respectively.
The next session is qualifying, which gets underway at 11:20 CEST tomorrow.
