Sandro Pelatti will take part in this weekend’s season opener of the TCR Europe series for PMA Motorsport as a wild card entry, competing in a CUPRA Leon VZ TCR alongside the two regulars at the Mugello circuit.
Pelatti joined the grid late last year with PMA Motorsport, winning the two races in the Diamond Best Trophy class at Misano on his first outing of the season.
He’ll race alongside the team’s regulars Nicolas Taylor and Nicola Baldan this weekend, who will compete in a pair of Audi RS 3 LMS, while Pelatti will race in a CUPRA, with which he has previous experience, after racing the car in TCR Europe at Valencia in 2024, and more recently in the TCR Spain championship.
“I am happy to join PMA Motorsport for the third year, I will do the races in Italy and to start the races at my home track is amazing,” said Pelatti.
The team added: “It’s great to have Sandro with us once again this season, he can do a really good job in the Diamond class. We will all do our best and can’t wait to start the season.”
