Six drivers and five teams from the TCR Europe series will be in action at the second event of the 2025 Kumho FIA TCR World Tour this weekend at Valencia, the location of last year’s tense season finale which saw Monlau Motorsport claim the drivers’ title with Franco GIrolami, and ALM Motorsport the teams’ championship.
Monlau Motorsport will be one of the teams making its TCR World Tour debut, fielding Eric Gené in a CUPRA Leon VZ, while ALM Motorsport enters Ruben Volt, who becomes the first Estonian to enter an FIA touring car championship race.
JSB Compétition will run 2019 TCR Europe title contender and team owner Julien Briché in one of its Hyundai Elantra N TCRs, while MA:GP will run its Lynk & Co for Viktor Andersson.
The last two TCR Europe regulars in the field will be Honda drivers Marco Butti and Felipe Fernández. Butti races for MM Motorsport in TCR Europe, and Fernández for RC2 Racing Team, but both will join the GOAT Racing team in Valencia, joining current points leader Esteban Guerrieri, and TCR Europe graduate Ignacio Montenegro in two of the team’s Honda Civic Type R FL5s.
