Tecnodom’s Kevin Giacon joins with an Audi at Monza

For their participation in the TCR Europe’s event at Monza, the Tecnodom Sport team will add a second car for Kevin Giacon.
The 22-year-old Giacon will be at the wheel of an Audi RS 3 LMS DSG, joining his teammate Luca Rangoni who will drive the Fiat Tipo on his maiden racing appearance.
In the few latest seasons, Giacon emerged as one of the fastest young Touring Car drivers in Italy. He first distinguished himself by claiming two race wins in 2016, on his way to finish third in the Italian TCS championship with an Alfa Romeo Mito. The following year he moved up to TCR Italy and encored the third place, again with two victories at Mugello and Valleluga, in an Opel Astra.
As the team focused on the development of the Tipo TCR, Giacon’s racing outings became less frequent, but in one of his occasional appearances he managed to win a race of last year’s Coppa Italia Turismo in a Honda Civic Type R.

“I’m delighted to return at the wheel of a race car for the TCR Europe event at Monza. I’m aware that the level of the championship is very high, but I know the circuit well and I expect my Audi to be competitive enough for achieving some good results,” said Giacon.
