The TCR Europe grid is almost full for 2026 - 22 entries already confirmed

Following an incredible 2025 campaign, the TCR Europe series is already looking ahead. This year’s season finale in Barcelona saw 27 cars enter the final round and host one of the closest title fights in touring car history. Now, with the 2026 season still months away, the series is delighted to confirm that 22 entries have already been secured.

The series opened pre-registration exclusively for teams from the 2025 campaign, and already nine of those teams have registered 22 cars for next year. While general registration doesn't open until January 2026, existing teams have another month to secure their slot. In addition, two new teams are already on the waiting list.

The series promoter has decided to limit the total number of cars to 28 for the 2026 season to maximise the quality and standard of events.

The promoter also confirmed last week that it is launching a two-event TCR Europe Cup for 2026, with races at Spa-Francorchamps and Barcelona. This Cup will offer aspiring teams and drivers a chance to experience the series' events.

“I’m delighted with the position we’re in, just a few weeks after wrapping up our 2025 season with a terrific finale in Barcelona,” said series promoter Rubén Fernández.

“With almost a full grid already confirmed and a long winter break ahead before the season gets started at Mugello on March 20-22, we have plenty of time to work on putting together an incredible package for the new year in terms of broadcast and media coverage, expanding on what we delivered this year.”

The format remains largely unchanged in 2026, featuring the same 25-minutes-plus-a-lap race structure. The season will once again award four titles: the overall drivers' and teams' championships, the Youth Best title (for drivers aged 21 and under), and the Diamond trophy (for drivers over 40).

The top three teams will receive a discount on their 2027 entry fees. While the 2026 drivers' prize is still being finalised, champion Jenson Brickley's 2025 award included 100 Kumho tyres and entry into the 2026 Kumho FIA TCR World Tour, valued at 107,000 EUR.

“I’m proud of what we achieved in 2025, and 2026 is going to be even better. We’ll work hard with the teams and drivers to deliver an incredible championship next year,” added Fernández.

The first teams and drivers confirmed for 2026 will be announced in the coming weeks.
