This morning’s scheduled two-stage TCR Europe Qualifying session at the Nürburgring has been cancelled due to a blanket of thick fog covering the circuit. A statement by the DTM organisers explains the situation:

“Currently, conditions are not suitable for track activity. The plan regarding the timetable is to resume whatever track activity is scheduled at the time of day the track is ready. Any previous sessions will not occur.”

The TCR Europe Stewards are currently discussing the method by which the grids for both races will be decided. Race 1 is scheduled for 17.00 CEST this afternoon, but another statement will be issued when the situation regarding the weather conditions becomes known.
