2026 TCR Europe title contender Tiago Pernía claimed his second win of the TCR South America season at the most recent race meeting of the series last weekend at the Autódromo Ciudad de Concordia, in Argentina.
The Honda driver was in position to claim the win on only the final lap, after he was involved in a last lap fracas involving his team-mate and father Leonel Pernía, and the Hyundai MSA driver Camilo Trappa.
Tiago Pernía was able to capitalise on the contact between Trappa and Leonel Pernía to claim his second win of the season, sharing the podium with his father for the second time this year.
The next activity for the 22-year-old is the upcoming TCR Europe race weekend at Monza, Italy. After four events of the championship, Pernía remains in close contention for the title, fifth in the standings, and just 22 points behind current leader Nicolas Taylor.
